Autoscopy

Image
For this autoscopy project, I decided to have a space and flower theme. For the background, I took a photo of Outerspace off the internet and used the magnetic lasso tool, mask layer, and brush tool to make it look like I am in Outerspace. I also used another space like photo on my skin. When putting the space photo over my skin I decreased the opacity so that you could still see my face. I used the same tools as I did for the background to fit the photo on my face and neck. To add to the Outerspace theme I also added a moon, Saturn, and another planet. This added color to the photo rather than just having black and purple. When adding the Saturn I also changed the hue and saturation to make it blue rather than the original color of brown. I added the flowers to make the photo creative and different. I decided to do purple flowers because I felt like that went with the Outerspace photos.

Somewhere Project

Image
For the Somewhere project, I decided to choose a scene from the movie Baby Driver. This scene is very iconic as is one of the best movies scenes that does not have dialogue yet tells a whole story. I decided to use this specific photo from the scene as there was space for me to put a photo of myself in without disrupting it a whole lot. When taking the photo of myself I tried to make it so I wasn't taking away too much from the scene.  Overall this project was difficult as it took me a while to get the cut out perfect and to make sure that the photo was positioned correctly to make it really look like I was in the scene. It also took some time to get the coloring to be similar to the original photo. This project took me around 2 hours to create as there were some areas where it got tricky. I however really like how it turned out.

Somewhere Project Inspiration

I feel like this image from the @KirbyJenner Instagram page would be the hardest to Photoshop myself into. There is a lot going on in this photo so figuring out where I could place myself and how to place myself seems harder. The photo is busy on its own and there are so many colors to match with the hue of the photo. If I were to add myself it would take a long time as there is so much detail needed.  When looking at the @averagerob Instagram page this photo caught my eye the most. I really like the background of the photo and it seems like a good idea when it comes to photoshopping myself into the photo. This picture seems like a good idea for what I want to do for my Somewhere project.  Out of the 13 combinations on the website, this one made me laugh the most. I really liked how the person photoshopping the photo took what he was saying and put a person on the tv. The person asking him to make him seem less alone really meant for the guy to add someone next to him to make it see

BW to Color in Photoshop

Image
For this project, I decided to make the photos Analogous, Monochromatic, and Triad. When choosing the color combo I went to color.adobe.com where it helped show what colors go together for each color scheme.  For each photo I tried to space out the colors and make sure that no colors blended in with each other. I wanted to make sure each color popped in the photo. This project took me a total of 3 hours as I tried to make sure each area was perfect and did not go into a different color and area. My patience during this project was definitely harder to maintain as I went through creating and adding each color to the photo.

Tag Brush

Image
I really enjoyed working on this project especially since we went over it in class. For this I took my black and white logo and added scratches and negatives on top of it. When putting the scratches and negatives on top of the logo I changed the opacity so that it would not cover the logo. I also changed the positioning to make it more cohesive with the logo. I didn't really change much when it came to the negatives over my logo besides the opacity. For the scratches I changed the rotation so that it flowed with my logo more and didn't take away certain parts of my logo. When choosing the tag brush color I went with a light blue because I thought it looked nice.  For

Photoshop Tutorials

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D57I6fJ9MsY This first video is pretty simple as it is only six minutes and 27 seconds long. The creator just goes over the basic tools that one will need to know in order to first get started in Photoshop. She first goes over the move tool and shows us how to use it and what it is used for. I think this is definitely the easiest tool to use on Photoshop. the most interesting tool she goes over will have to be the marquie tool which allows you to select a part of an image and delete that specific area of it. This tool is either a rectangular one or an elliptical one. The elliptical tool allows you to create your own shape around what you wish to delete. The creator is very detailed with the basic tools and shows us how to easily use them in a short amount of time.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2cQT1ZgvgGI This video is a lot longer than the first video. In this one the creator goes over every tool in Photoshop. From what he is showing I think a lot o
