Final Portfolio

  This is my final portfolio. I created this in InDesign and it has all the projects that I have worked on this semester for FMX 210. After this project, I feel comfortable with using InDesign as I have a lot more knowledge and understanding of it. I am really happy that I was able to do this project as I can use it for Internships and job interviews in the future. I am really happy with how everything turned out.  For this project, I used the colors purple, black, and white. I also incorporated some blue because I feel like a lot of my previous projects have these colors and I wanted to make sure that it all went together. For the front and back pages, I chose to make them purple and added white font with black around it. I also chose to do black lines and outlines so that they would flow with the rest of my portfolio layout. BW to Color in Photoshop

  For this project, I decided to make the photos Analogous, Monochromatic, and Triad. When choosing the color combo I went to color.adobe.com where it helped show what colors go together for each color scheme.  For each photo I tried to space out the colors and make sure that no colors blended in with each other. I wanted to make sure each color popped in the photo. This project took me a total of 3 hours as I tried to make sure each area was perfect and did not go into a different color and area. My patience during this project was definitely harder to maintain as I went through creating and adding each color to the photo.

Logo

  For my logo, I ended up not going with any of my sketches because they were either too complex or were too simple. When creating my logo in Illustrator I decided to my initials because my name is a part of who I am and I used two pins to represent the two places I lived which are Philadelphia, PA, and Tampa, FL. I also connected the pins to each other to symbolize my move and how the two cities are a part of who I am. I used the text tool to create my initials and used the circle tool for the top of the pins and the background of my logo. for the bottom part of the pin, I used the line tool. When creating the curve that connects the pins I used the curve pen tool and the eraser tool to make the line seem like steps to each place. For the colors I chose them based off of both meaning and what I thought looked good together and fit my personality.
